There is a huge need for a Mobile Medical Service.
Most people in the villages that surround the Serengeti don’t have the money for medicine, or for clinical services. Our Mobile Medical Service is desperately needed.
This is probably our most expensive project at the moment. Our very own Dan, and his wife (Annie), will drive between locations with our specially equipped 4×4 truck.
Annie is an Australian Doctor, trained in Tropical medicine. She has vast experience in dealing with medicinal matters in disaster zones. Dan also travels the world and assists in disaster zones on a managerial basis. As Dan spent most of his young life in Tanzania, he is very familiar with the need for medical help in regional areas.
Simply put, if you are not close to a Town or a City, it is very unlikely that any Western medical assistance will be available. A travelling medical service is invaluable to the people bordering the Serengeti. With out it, they have the choice of travelling for many miles if they have the money. Or, they simply do without it and potentially shorten their lives.
This fund is to get the project underway and to run it for a year.
